30613QLD Certificate III in Education Support

 This course prepares participants to undertake the duties of a teacher aide, which include the compiling and supervising of class rolls, clerical assistance, notes and work programs, assisting in the supervision of education activities, and more. 

Work may initially be performed under the supervision of a more experienced officer; however, this supervision is expected to reduce as experience increases.

To receive a Certificate III in Education Support you must complete: all core units, plus a minimum of 225 hours of elective study.

VOCATIONAL/INDUSTRY PLACEMENT

Vocational/Industry Placement is required under Chapter 4 of the Vocational Education, Training and Employment Act 2000. [To be completed by participants undertaking the course as an institutional based program, where access to an education workplace is not available]

Traineeships are available for new or existing part-time and full-time permanent staff who do met the eligibility criteria (contact your local AAC for further details)

 

Traineeship Funding: No user choice funding available for this course. (Refer to your NAC for all details on incentives). 

 

Traineeship trainingthe STS trainer comes to your workplace once every 2 weeks and spends 2 hours with you, doing face to face training.  In between training visits, you work on your workbooks and complete activities and workplace projects.  You have access to your trainer via the internet, phone and fax.

 

Course Duration    Traineeship – 2 years full time or 4 years part time or school based.

Independent Studies: Austudy Approved 20 weeks full time study

 (all courses are competency based and can be completed earlier if desired)

 

Cost:                           $2500.00 (payment plans can be negotiated for self funding students)

You will be supplied at no cost all of the workbooks, which are required.

 

Training Delivery: An individualised training plan is created at the beginning of the training program.  At this time, we will negotiate where, how and when you are going to do the training.
