ASSESSMENT TASK

Task A.

Using the knowledge and skills you have developed in this unit, and based on your experiences in your workplace, you are to provide a written report detailing how you can manage effective workplace relationships.

Include information on how you:

Gather, convey and receive information and ideas

Develop trust and confidence

Build and maintain networks and relationships

Manage difficulties to achieve positive outcomes

Task B.

1. Briefly describe your views on team work, and the difference between a team and a group of workers.
2. What are the characteristics of a team?
3. What role does networking have within the team environment?
4. How do you build an effective management network?
5. How do you recognise your “Most Valuable Player”?
6. In your opinion, should you reward the individual or the team, how do you decide, what are the advantages and disadvantages of a reward system, what other strategies could you use to create an effective team spirit.

Task C.

Briefly describe the following

the specific purpose of your team
what and how your team contributes to the corporate and/or business mission
exactly what product or service your team is responsible for
any gap between what is needed from the team and what now exists
how your team and its inputs and outputs relate to other teams’.
