Plan and conduct induction at your workplace
Assess and report on the induction program at your workplace. You should include analysis and discussion of whether the following items are or should be included:
- orientation and induction checklists for use by the new employee during their orientation and induction
- timelines, people responsible for delivering the program, whether a mentor or buddy is assigned, follow-up, including appraisal and confirmation of employment after the probationary period
- floor plans or maps showing the location of staff amenities, fire exits and emergency assembly points (if available)
- an organisational chart
- documentation and policies relevant to employees
- a procedures manual and style guide (if available)
- a brief history and profile of the organisation including vision and mission statements and organisational goals
- other material you consider should be included.
