Gary
I understand that you have concerns regarding workload issues in relation to QA. However, this is definitely the way that Ben wants this company to be heading - particularly as we will be applying for ISO status later on in the year.
I agree that this is something you and I should discuss further. What we need to be doing is ensuring that your supervisors can see that implementing quality processes isn't just another management `fly-by-night' that will die a natural death in a couple of months. There are real benefits for us in relation to getting the best out of our teams, and it will also make the introduction of the new equipment a lot easier when we do that next year.
I'm sure that the HR people can provide us with lots of additional detail on this. I have cc'd them with this email so they can see the background issues. Let's meet early next week with them and discuss further.
Regards,
Al Perez

I have been giving this whole quality processes idea a lot of thought, and we have discussed this at length at our team leader meetings. My guys are concerned that the amount of paperwork and checks that will cause an extra workload that hasn't been factored into their jobs.
Can we discuss please?
Kind regards,
Gary Denver
