SUBJECT: Implementing New HRMIS

Hi. I just heard news that, as a result of your recent research into available types of HRMIS, it looks like we will be going with ABC Software for supply and installation of the new HRMIS. Good work!

There will be two main points of focus in preparation for the roll-out. First, take care of the 'human' factors such as gaining support from managers, allocating people to tasks and planning for training for all who will use the new system. The second goal will be to focus on the `IT' side - to make sure that information needs will be met, that resources are put in place, and that the system does what it is supposed to do.

The roll-out of this system will be company-wide, and the intention is for the new HRMIS to fully replace the old system within 12 months.

Because the HRMIS we have purchased allows individual staff members to access information regarding their pay, leave entitlements and performance as well as entering overtime and leave applications, a specific strategy will need to be developed to equip and empower staff to use the system.

So time to get on with the job! You should start by working up an implementation plan. Remember - just focus on the human factors in the implementation first. I'll help you with the IT factors shortly.

Regards,

James Bower
