SUBJECT: Issues with Restructure 

I have some concerns that you may share regarding the restructure.  

One is that we may face legal challenges for the decisions we take concerning staff redundancies. We need to ensure that each affected member of staff is treated with respect and consideration and that they feel supported throughout the redundancy process. 

Staff morale and productivity of those who remain may also be affected if the process is not handled correctly and sympathetically.  

We need to do everything we can, within reason, to ensure that those leaving and those remaining are satisfied and appreciative of the process and the outcomes.  

Please take all appropriate steps to guarantee procedural fairness and thorough communication so that STAR cannot attract criticism or legal suits as a result of this change process.
